Have you ever had a time where you were unable to choose between one thing and another? My problem happens to be when choosing between drinks at Starbucks...
There are many different options when it comes to Starbucks, my favorites are as follows
1. Strawberry Lemonade Blend
2. Vanilla Latte
3. Raspberry Mocha Latte
4. Hot Chocolate
5. Marbled Hot Chocolate

Today while I was at Starbucks, I decided to get a strawberry lemonade blend, it was tasty and delicious. If you haven't had it I would highly recommend it!

I agree with Cam. I think it has a lot to do with who's behind you. For example, you don't want to order something like a delicious Vanilla Bean Frappiccihno (my summer weakness) when you have a line up of suits behind you because you'd feel like they're somehow judging you based on your drink order. Personally in this situation it becomes a matter of oneupsmanship. I need to order a drink that establishes myself as the alpha male of the line. This way, I demand the respect of the suits behind me as they recognize my taste in haute couture...based solely off my choice in coffee. And it's sad, because for the rest of the day I'll be yearning for the that creamy smooth texture of my Vanilla Bean Frappiccihno... damn...

Ha- Colin best comment ever! It's true the domination of the line... however, I really couldn't care about what people thought about what I drink, I mean Starbucks alone lets people know your not an average shmo
ReplyDeleteIt's different for a guy. It's pure gamesmanship. I have to one-up the rest of the people in line in a situation like that. As a woman, you're free to order whatever you like. But as a guy, I'm bound by my competitive nature to prove myself equal or better than everyone there... preferably better. Starbucks establishes a baseline of snootyness, the drink order gives a more accurate representation.

ReplyDeleteAnd again, Laura I think we basically share all our ideas! I just had a poll dedicated to this very subject. The favourite: Chai Tea LAtte.
I think the ultimate indulgence on a cold day = Espresso Truffle!!! I also love getting awake tea with cinnamon dolce syrup and dusted with a little nutmeg!
